Unity RecordingsUnity Recordings was set up in 2008 with the goal of promoting and producing quality music in China, providing a platform for Chinese producers of non-mainstream music. Unity Recording’s present releases are within the Hip Hop genre. The long term plan is to encompass a range of styles from rock to jazz to hip hop that are either representative of or relevant to modern China. The hope is through this to make some contribution towards lessening China’s relative musical isolation, increasing understanding and establishing connections between East and West. 2010 ProjectsThe 2010 BOTY China Soundtrack is currently under production with plans for a July release. With an even better lineup than before, packed with more up and coming artists from China and the rest of the World the 2010 release promises to exceed the previous two years. Shanghai Expo 2010In 2010 we will be working closely with the German Pavillion and Akim Walter … on various projects including Shows at the Expo itself, tours of China by European artists, and international B-Boy and Graffiti events.
