Biography

Originally from Chicago, Ambition began listening to hip hop when he was 6 years old. His father was a boxer and musician. He often played the latest hot rap records, while cooking for the family. Due to being around hip hop for such a long time, Ambition grew up to have a huge respect for the culture..

Ambition is one of the very few self taught producers. He learned most of his skills from reading books and watching others. At the age of 16, he produced his first track. The highly skilled production grabbed the attention of several people and garnered him a small reputation. After learning production he began free style rapping and writing poetry. His skills only got better as time went on.

Fast forward a few years later and Ambition is becoming one of the more recognizable faces in the game. He has worked with artists from Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, South America and Europe. Having received advice from legends like Shyheim from the Wu Tang Clan and many others, Ambition is determined to change the game in the right way. He learned that family and friends is number one. Utilizing Hip Hop is a good way to let people learn, create and respect that.

Aside from being a solid artist, Ambition is also a solid person. From pure poverty to middle class and a taste of wealth, he has experienced it all. After dealing with many hardships, he decided to dedicate his life to learning the will of good and reflecting that through his work.

In 2009, Ambition is planning to produce and write for a Chinese band from Xian. He is also preparing to attend meetings to discuss his newest film script in Hong Kong and Beijing. Outside of those main projects, he will be working with a wide array of international talent and attending shows throughout the year. It is a pleasure for his latest production to be featured on the newest ground breaking BOTY soundtrack.

“If hip hop started off the way it is today, it may not be around today. Hip Hop culture of today is about killing, selling out people/family, doing drugs, beefing, making money at any costs, gangster life, being illiterate and hurting others.”

“The positivity and knowledge of hip hop helped the culture last so long. If young people of today, only knew that Hip Hop used to be about artistic merit, cleaning your community, bringing people together, fighting racism, growing stronger, loyalty and honesty, the game would be so different right now… We the international community of this culture need to turn it around…”
