Biography

Jovian A multifaceted individual, Jovian strives to represent his love for music through his unique creations. Programming beats as well as playing bass, keys and guitar. His main workstation is a Korg Triton; which he adopted after his crazy roommate threw it out the window and had at it with a kitchen knife. Jovian grew up in the San Francisco and has been playing instruments since high school. He attended Cal Berkeley and soon met some of his peer music influences. In 2003 he joined Solos Records, a Berkeley and Hong Kong based record company. Soon after he met rappers 10z and Kensho Kuma and together they formed Hunters and Gatherers. With college behind him Jovian decided to move to China along with 10z and Kensho Kuma for bigger and better things. He is currently located in Chengdu, Sichuan helping to enrich the already vibrant underground scene. Currently Jovian is composing a piece for a Thai film score, and collaborating with some DJs in Canton, rappers in Shanghai (Bamboo Crew) and MCs in Japan.
