Biography

Dr Skunkenstein is based in the South U.K. When hip hop culture first hit U.K shores around 1983, he was instantly taken in by the whole scene. His main love was the music, in particular, the alien sounds of electrofunk. He got his first set of belt drive decks in 1986 and any cash he did have went on records. The love for all things electronic never left him. He eventually moved into production and began searching for ways to take his DJ sets further with the use of modern technology, both with turntables and laptops. He has Dj`ed all around the U.K and at various destinations thoughout Europe. As well as DJing, Skunk keeps himself busy producing and playing live with label cohorts Delinquent Dialect and Heuristic Audio in a live show that is primarily based around both modern and vintage hardware.

At the end of 2002 he set up Electrolab Records to cater for straight up dance floor electro and continues to release records today.
